The police got information at around 8 pm that a woman had committed suicide in the house and when the police reached the spot, they saw that the woman was lying on the bed in a bloody condition and her throat had been cut in half. After this, the police immediately called the team of forensic and dog squad to the spot and on information, SP City Sarita Dobal also reached the spot.

Police say that accused Saurabh Srivastava used to work in Army Canteen earlier and had left the job a few days ago and he was doing marketing work in a company. Relatives of Saurabh and his wife also live in Dehradun and they were calling since day, but both of them were not answering their calls. After this, when Shweta’s relatives reached her house, they saw that she was lying on the bed and blood was coming out of her throat.
