Uttarakhand government has taken a big decision. The government is going to end the corona restrictions in the state from November 20 (Covid Restrictions in Uttarakhand). The state government has taken this decision in view of the minimum situation of COVID in the state and the closure of Chardham doors. However, people will still have to follow some rules.
Actually, the state government had issued the SOP of COVID ban on 18 October. In this, along with 50 percent attendance in programs ranging from marriage, RTPCR report was made mandatory for those coming from outside states. Along with this, these COVID restrictions were implemented from 19 October to 20 November. Meanwhile, on Thursday, Chief Secretary Dr. SS Sandhu issued an order to cancel the SOP of this COVID ban.

These rules will still have to be followed
- It will be mandatory to wear a mask while traveling in public places, workplace and public transport.
- It will be mandatory to keep a distance of six feet in public places.
- Spitting in public places will be illegal, for which a provision has been made for punishment along with prescribed fine.
- Consumption of paan, gutkha, tobacco in public places will be prohibited.
The first case came in March 2020
Let us tell you that on 15 March 2020, the first case of corona was reported in Uttarakhand. Corona virus infection was confirmed in an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer who returned from abroad. After that, the cases of corona continued to increase in the state. In view of this, first public curfew was imposed in the state. After that, when the situation improved, COVID curfew was imposed in the state. A special guideline was issued for this. In which some special things were exempted. Now the state government is going to end the corona restrictions. But still people have to follow some important rules as a precaution.
