PM Narendra Modi is likely to start the election campaign in the month of November regarding the assembly election 2022 to be held in Uttarakhand. According to sources, PM Modi can address the first election rally in mid-November. Along with this, a senior BJP leader told that the PM can address the rally around November 20, although the date has not been decided yet, but according to media reports, the state unit of Uttarakhand BJP has nominated PM Modi in 5 parliamentary constituencies. At least 5 rallies have been proposed.
In fact, the Uttarakhand BJP unit has started the process of shortlisting the candidates in view of the upcoming assembly elections. According to sources, the BJP leader told that there will be 2 reports, one will be given by the state and the other will be given by the Center after survey. The work given by the BJP organization during the COVID-19 pandemic like social work and the work done under the ‘Seva Hi Sangathan’ campaign will also be considered.
BJP fielded in view of 2022 assembly elections
Significantly, to elect 70 members of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly, the state is going to vote in February next year. The term of the current assembly, elected in the year 2017, will end on March 23, 2022. In the last state assembly elections, the BJP had won, while the Congress had to face a crushing defeat. But this time also BJP has entered the electoral fray to register victory.
Independent MLA Ram Singh joined BJP
Let us inform that independent MLA Ram Singh Kaira from Bhimtal assembly seat of the state joined the BJP on Friday. He joined the BJP at the BJP headquarters in Delhi in the presence of Union Minister Smriti Irani along with Uttarakhand state in-charge and Rajya Sabha member Dushyant Gautam, Uttarakhand BJP state president Madan Kaushik and Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni. He was joined by the Okhalkanda block chief and his wife Kamlesh Kaira. During this, Ram Singh Kaira said that he will follow the legacy of the party and being an MLA will respect other workers and leaders of the party. Earlier, Kaira had contested from the Congress seat as an MLA from the Vidhan Sabha, but after not getting a ticket from the Congress, she contested as an independent candidate and won this seat.
