Where Khadi and Village Industries Commission Director (Varanasi Mandal) DS Bhati told that under the pilot project, only two types of products – distemper and white paint are being manufactured in Sanganer, Jaipur. He informed that Khadi and Village Industries Commission has planned to set up units of Vedic Paints in Barabanki, Varanasi, Ballia and Panjokhara of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh.
In fact, during this time he told that there may be a slight delay due to the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, but every effort is made to start production from these units at the beginning of the next financial year. Bhati said setting up a unit of Vedic Paints requires an investment of at least Rs 25-30 lakh, depending on the size of the unit. However, 25-35 percent grant will be given by the government on setting up the unit.

At the same time, DS Bhati, who came to inspect the exhibition of Khadi and Village Industries Department in Magh Mela, told that the specialty of Vedic paint is that it does not contain chemicals and it is a natural paint. Along with this, it is as durable as other paints available in the market, while its price is much less than the chemical paints of the market. Bhati said that research is being done by Khadi and Village Industries Department to make Vedic paints available in other colors as well and very soon this paint will be available in the market in different colors also.
