The results of the UP Panchayat elections are almost over. As of eight o’clock on Monday evening, 3,27,036 candidates for various posts were declared elected. For the first time in the Patha Panchayat elections, the family members of the dacoit gang have succeeded in the election by seeking votes.
Actually, there was a kingdom of dacoit gangs in UP and MP’s Patha region for almost four decades. In every election, the dacoit gangs have been showing hank and winning the elections.

When Panchayat elections were held in the year 2005, the dacoit Dadua and Thokia had made family and close relatives unopposed, head, BDC and DDC etc. Now both these dacoits have been killed. Deepak Patel, the brother of dacoit Ambika Patel alias Thonkia, has won the post of chief from Bandri Gram Panchayat of Karvi development block. He has garnered 535 votes. He defeated Sudhir Garg by 339 votes. He got only 196 votes.
Pradhan’s son also won the election of dacoit Radhe
Arimardan Singh alias Sonu, the son of dacoit Radhe from Sheetalpur Tarunha Gram Panchayat, has also won the election for the post of head. Sonu defeated Arvind Singh by 22 votes by securing 192 votes. This happened for the first time in the Panchayat elections when the relatives of the dacoits won the elections by seeking votes.
A total of 3,19,317 candidates elected unopposed
According to the commission, seven candidates of Zilla Panchayat member, 2,005 of Kshetra Panchayat member, 178 of Gram Panchayat Pradhan and 3,17,127 candidates of Gram Panchayat member have been elected unopposed. In this way, a total of 3,19,317 candidates have been declared elected unopposed from the four phase constituencies in the state.
State Election Commissioner Manoj Kumar had ordered all the District Magistrates and District Election Officers to open medical aid desks at every counting center and clearly stated that Kovid-19 will not be allowed to enter the counting venue if it has symptoms.
Political parties like BJP, SP, BSP, Congress, Aam Aadmi Party and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen have also fielded candidates in the panchayat elections. However, the candidates of these parties have fielded not on the party’s election marks, but on the personal election marks given by the Commission.
Votes were cast for the three-tier panchayat elections in 75 districts of the state in four phases. In the first phase, polling was held on 15 April, in the second 19 April, in the third, on 26 April and in the fourth phase on 29 April.
