According to the information, if the government waives the loans of farmers, then farmers of 19 districts of the state will be waived about Rs 200 crore. 33408 farmers will get its benefit. According to media reports, the Yogi government had implemented the Crop Debt Redemption Scheme on July 9, 2017 to waive off the loans of farmers and under this, loans up to one lakh rupees were waived for small and marginal farmers. For this, online applications were taken from the farmers on the website and the loans of about 86 lakh farmers of the state have been waived. But 33,408 farmers of the state are still in limbo.
Farmers of 19 districts of the state will be benefited
According to the information, if the government approves the proposal of the Agriculture Department, then these farmers of 19 districts of the state will get the benefit and most of these farmers belong to the general category. The number of non-beneficiaries in Ayodhya district alone is 3934. If the state government waives the loans to the farmers, then for this the government will have to bear the burden of Rs 200 crore. But more than 33 thousand farmers will get relief from this.
General category farmers can get benefits
According to media reports, a farmer from Sadar Tehsil of Ayodhya told that he is eligible for the government scheme. But they have not got the benefit of it and the loan waiver has not happened. In this matter, the State Director Agriculture and Statistics Officer Rajesh Kumar Gupta said that in 19 districts, the loan waiver of the farmers of the reserved category has been done and now soon approval can be given on the proposal of loan waiver for most of the general category farmers.
