Mukhtar Ansari’s wife bought properties with illegally acquired money
The troubles of former MLA and Bahubali leader Mukhtar Ansari have increased once again. An order has been given to attach property worth 3.76 crores of his wife Afsa Ansari.

This order has been given by the District Magistrate of Mau. District Magistrate Arun Kumar has taken action here under the Gangster Act. According to the order issued by the DM, Afsa Ansari had bought land in Sadar Tehsil of Ghazipur district with the money earned illegally.
Apart from many police stations of Ghazipur, cases are registered against Afsa Ansari in many sections in Mau also. The District Magistrate said that a campaign is being launched against the movable and immovable properties created out of illegally acquired money and this action is part of that. The District Magistrate said that he has sufficient evidence against Mukhtar Ansari’s wife to prove that he has purchased movable and immovable properties with illegally acquired money.
The property of two relatives of Mukhtar Ansari was also attached
Earlier in April, the Ghazipur district administration had attached land worth more than five crore rupees registered in Ghazipur in the names of two relatives of gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari. Then Superintendent of Police Ram Badan Singh told that on the basis of the report of Ghazipur Police, the district administration under Section 14(1) of the Gangster Act, named Anwar Shahzad and Sharjeel Raza, brother-in-law of Mukhtar Ansari, the head of the IS-191 gang as ‘illegal’. Orders were issued for attachment of commercial land located at Mohalla Babedi of Ghazipur.
The value of attached land is more than five crores
He said that in compliance of this, the action of attachment of that land was taken by Ghazipur Police and Administration on Wednesday. He said that the area of the attached land is 0.3134 hectares and its market value is about Rs.5 crore 10 lakh. The Superintendent of Police said that till now the Ghazipur police and administration have attached properties worth crores of rupees of Mukhtar Ansari, former MLA from Mau, while illegal properties worth about 109 crores belonging to his gang have been demolished.
