This year, the month of Sawan starts from July 11. In view of the Kavad Yatra in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, the police administration has prepared a special traffic plan to organize traffic and control the crowd, which will help in operating the journey smoothly. In Sawan, millions of Kawandis will take Ganga water from Brajghat and depart towards their destination.
There will be a complete ban on the movement of heavy and light vehicles from every Friday to Monday in Murdabad during the Kavad Yatra starting from 11 July. Apart from this, every Sunday from 8 am to 8 pm on Monday night, the movement of light vehicles like jeep, car, pickup will also be banned.
Traffic diversion will remain on Delhi-Moradabad route
Traffic diversion will be applicable on the Delhi-Moradabad route during the Kavad Yatra, so that the Kanwari does not have any kind of inconvenience and the traffic system is operated smoothly. While providing detailed information regarding the Kandar Yatra, SSP Satpal Anthil said that all the arrangements have been inspected in a thorough inspection on the basis of the festival register recorded in the police stations.
All arrangements were reviewed on Kanwar routes
The SSP said that the intelligence report has also been carefully observed, so that any unpleasant situation can be avoided. All the police in-charge has appointed duty in their respective areas and all arrangements have been reviewed on the Kavad routes in Moradabad district. If there is a need for any improvement in all types of arrangements related to the Kandar Yatra, then it is being corrected immediately by coordinating with the concerned departments.
All arrangements are being ensured through continuous inspection by Senior Superintendent of Police and District Magistrate Moradabad, so that devotees do not have to face any kind of inconvenience during the Kavad Yatra. Apart from this, the police administration has decided to deploy additional police forces for security and traffic management on Kawad routes.
All necessary services are being ensured
Medical facilities, drinking water system and other essential services are also being ensured during the journey, so that the Kanwari does not face any kind of trouble. The main objective of the administration is that the Kandar Yatra should be concluded in a peaceful and systematic manner, and all the devotees can safely complete their religious rituals.
A total of four Mondays in Sawan month
This year, there is a total of four Mondays and one Shivaratri festival in Sawan month, which holds special significance for Kanwari. Devotees of districts like Bareilly, Sambhal, Chandausi, Amroha, Moradabad and Rampur will fill Ganga water from holy places like Haridwar, Gomukh, Gangotri and Garh Brajghat and perform Jalabhishek in their nearby Shiva temples.
