A nurse allegedly gave a double dose of Kovid-19 vaccine to a woman while talking on mobile. After this, the family members of the woman created a ruckus in the hospital and later informed many officials, including the District Magistrate and the Chief Medical Officer, about the negligence of the nurse.
Family members told reporters that on Thursday, Kamlesh Kumari went to the Primary Health Center to take Corona vaccine dose, where ANM Archana gave her two doses of the vaccine while talking on her mobile. Family members allege that when Kamlesh interrupted the nurse after being vaccinated twice, she reprimanded him instead of apologizing. Family members say that due to the double dose, Kamlesh had mild swelling in his hand, although he did not show any serious symptoms.
‘CMO directed to investigate the incident’
District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh said that he has instructed the CMO to investigate the incident and investigate the facts. Reports have been summoned in this case till Saturday evening. Rajesh Katiyar, chief medical officer of Kanpur Dehat, said that the corona vaccination campaign was being conducted at Mandoli Primary Health Center, where Kamlesh Kumari went to take the first dose. He reportedly received a complaint from the nurse about double doses.
Investigation report will be sent to District Magistrate
CMO said that Kamlesh Kumari was stopped for some time for monitoring after allegations of double dose. He said that by this evening, senior doctors will investigate the case and report it, which will be sent to the District Magistrate and action will be taken on the same basis.
