The people of the village feared that she belonged to some other religion because of the dress of the girl. On Friday, Shafiqur Rahman was going to marry the girl, but the villagers informed the police about this.
Friendship on Facebook and the girl who ran away with the young man
The police started interrogation by taking both of them into custody before the marriage. The girl told the police her Hindu name. Said that he She is a resident of North Twenty Four Parganas Police Station Khardah in the district of Bengal. He befriended the young man on Facebook, then he had given his other name. Both of them decided to get married and ran away with him. On reaching here, the youth came to know about the other religion.
According to the police, the youth was trying to get married by converting. Police said that on the complaint of the girl, a case has been registered against the youth for trying to forcibly marry the youth by hiding caste and religion and converting to religion. The family members of the girl have been informed, on their arrival, the girl will be handed over to them.
