Lakhimpur Kheri (Lakhimpur Kheri) Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra begins the sugarcane crushing session of two cooperative sugar mills (Ajay Mishra Teni) Instead of the District Magistrate. The mills had earlier invited Minister Ajay Mishra to start the sugarcane crushing session on Wednesday and now the District Magistrate has been invited by amending the program. On Monday, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait had warned that farmers would stay away from these mills if the minister attended the function.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Kisan Sahakari Chini Mills Limited, Sampoorna Nagar, based in Lakhimpur Kheri said, “The sugarcane crushing session of Kisan Sahakari Chini Mills Limited, Sampoorna Nagar in Khimpur Kheri started from November 24 (Wednesday) by District Magistrate Mahendra Bahadur at 11 am. Will happen.” A similar statement was also issued by Sarju Sahakari Sugar Mills Ltd., Belrayan Kheri.
The farmers had strongly opposed
Addressing the ‘Kisan Mahapanchayat’ in Lucknow on Monday, Rakesh Tikait, leader of BKYU (Bharatiya Kisan Union) had said, “If Teni (Ajay Mishra) comes to inaugurate the sugar mill, no farmer will take sugarcane in that sugar mill. .’ Instead, farmers would go to the district magistrate’s office with sugarcane, he had said, no matter how much damage might be caused to them. The removal of Minister of State Mishra from the Union Cabinet is one of the six demands put forward by the United Kisan Morcha to the government to end the agitation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday announced that the government will withdraw three controversial agriculture laws.
Have been on target since Lakhimpur incident
MP Mishra is on the target of farmers for the death of four farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri. Meanwhile, sources close to the Minister of State for Home said that since the Union Minister has some other engagements, he will not be able to attend the sugar mills function on November 24. Mishra was not seen in the official picture released after the conclusion of the DGP/IG conference in Lucknow on Sunday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also participated in this program. Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had written to the Prime Minister urging him not to share the stage with Mishra at the DGP function held in the state capital.
