A case of rape has come to light in a private school located in Lahartara, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. After the family members complained about this matter, the school administration first tried to suppress the matter. But when the family did not agree, they reported to the police. According to the information, a nine-year-old girl of class three was raped by the sweeper in the washroom on Friday afternoon. On the complaint of the girl’s family members, Sigra police arrested Ajay Kumar alias Sinku, resident of Manas Nagar Pasiana under Cantt police station area by registering a case of POCSO Act and misconduct.
The relatives told that when the girl studying in class three went to the washroom, the school’s sanitation worker also entered there and raped the girl. On coming out, the sweeper refused to tell the incident to anyone and threatened the girl. After this, the scared girl came to the class and did not inform anyone about this incident. But when she reached home after leave at around two o’clock in the afternoon, she told her mother about it and the family members were stunned to hear the girl’s words. The relatives reached the school with the girl and complained to the management here. After seeing the footage here, the school administration pressured not to complain and for several hours the management kept pressurizing the family members. But when the family remained adamant on the complaint with the police, the management complained and the family members also informed the police about the incident.

At present, the police have registered a case and arrested the accused sweeper. But this incident has raised questions about the safety of children in schools. Because the administration of the school was completely unaware of the incident of rape with the innocent in the washroom. While CCTV cameras are installed in the school. According to the information, the sweeper stayed in the washroom with the girl for about three minutes and he carried out the incident. At the same time, when the family members reached the school with the girl, the school owners tried to manage her by showing fear of slander and did not complain to the police.
