The Corona Vaccination Drive Stop for Three Days has been banned in the Varanasi (Varansi) of UP for three days amid the ongoing Corona vaccination campaign in the country. This decision has been taken in view of the lack of vaccine stock (Lack of Vaccine Stock). Seeing the lack of vaccine, the administration has decided that the first dose of vaccine will not be given to the people for three days. According to DM Kaushalraj Sharma, there is a vaccine for the second dose. Also, it is hoped that in the next three days, a new vaccine from Lucknow will be sent soon to Varanasi.
The lack of the Corona Vaccine affected the vaccination campaign in the city on Wednesday. Vaccine could not be installed in many big hospitals including PMchi, CSchi. According to the Health Department, only 4990 doses of vaccine are available in the city. Only these people can be vaccinated. Vaccination is being done only with the vaccine present at Coldchain Point. The vaccine and logistic reserves are completely empty. Not a single dose is available here. The situation has become such that if the new consignment of vaccine is not available to the hospitals today, then the vaccination campaign may be affected on Friday.
Campaign halted due to short supply
In view of the increasing corona cases, more and more people are reaching hospitals for vaccination. Vaccines are now being provided to people up to the age of 45 across the country. A large number of people are reaching hospitals for the vaccine. Vaccination campaign is being affected due to low supply. At the same time, the government has targeted to give the vaccine every day of the week.
Awaiting to get a new consignment of vaccine
This campaign has come to a standstill due to lack of vaccine. The hospital is waiting to get a new consignment of the vaccine. It is being told that there are currently only 1900 doses of Kovishield and 3039 doses of Kovaxin in Varanasi district. According to the vaccination of 5000 people every day, the first dose will end on Thursday.
