UP: Case filed against Mark Zuckerberg for maligning Akhilesh Yadav’s image, name removed after investigation; Know the whole matter

A case was registered against Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg in a court in Kannauj. Case filed against Mark Zuckerberg for maligning Akhilesh Yadav’s image

A case has been registered against Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and 49 others on the orders of a local court in Kannauj. A senior district police official said that during the investigation, Zuckerberg’s name was removed while the Facebook page’s administrator is being investigated.

Thathia’s station in-charge Prayag Narayan Bajpai said that Chief Judicial Magistrate Dharamvir Singh on Monday directed the police to register a case. After this, a case was registered at Thathia police station on the complaint of Amit Kumar, a resident of Sarahti village.

Trying to malign Akhilesh Yadav’s image

In his application before the court, Amit Kumar had said that there is a page on Facebook named ‘Bua Babua’ in which attempts are being made to malign the image of Samajwadi Party chief and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. A few days ago a cartoon on Akhilesh was made and posted (on Facebook). The slogan ‘Bua-Babua’ was coined when BSP chief Mayawati and Akhilesh formed an alliance in the 2019 general elections.

Amit Kumar said that in this case an application was sent to the Superintendent of Police through a registered post on May 25. But no action was taken, after which he moved the court and requested to register the case. After Akhilesh, his wife Dimple Yadav was elected MP from Kannauj in 2012 and 2014. Subrata Pathak of BJP was victorious from this seat in the 2019 elections.

Chandrashekhar will contest elections in alliance with SP

Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar alias Ravana has made it clear in a conversation with NewsNCR on Tuesday that he will fight the 2022 UP assembly elections in alliance only.
