After about two and a half to three months from today (Monday, 7 June), life will gradually start returning to normal in most parts of the state including Mumbai, Thane. Mumbai has been placed in the third phase of the five phases of unlock. Thane city has been kept in the second phase and Thane rural part in the third phase. In such a situation, shops in Mumbai will open from today till 4 pm. Shops will open throughout the day in Thane city.
For the process of unlocking, areas across the state have been classified into five phases. This classification has been done on the basis of number of infected during the week and occupancy of oxygen beds in the respective areas. But updates will be taken about this every week and changes will be done accordingly. On Sunday, in a meeting with District Magistrates, Municipal Commissioners, Police Officers, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray made one thing clear that laxity in rules and increase in crowd has not been allowed across the state. The local administration has also been instructed to tighten the rules according to the situation.
Where did today start and what is closed?
Classifying the restrictions, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Thane, Nashik, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Aurangabad, Vasai-Virar, Navi Mumbai, Nagpur, Solapur, Kalyan-Dombivli have been recognized as separate administrative components. According to this, all shops in Thane, Navi Mumbai, Solapur municipalities will open throughout the day. Public transport will also start at full capacity. Similarly, government and private offices, gardens, playgrounds, will continue. Malls, restaurants, cinema halls, auditoriums will start with 50 percent capacity. Attendance of 50 percent or 100 people has been allowed for marriage functions. Gyms, salons, spas will start with 50 percent capacity. There are no conditions imposed for the funeral.
Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Kalyan-Dombivali, Vasai-Virar
Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Kalyan-Dombivali, Vasai-Virar municipal areas have been kept in the third phase. All types of shops will open here from 7 am to 4 pm. Shops other than essential services will remain closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Malls and theaters will remain closed. Restaurants will open from 7 am to 4 pm with 50 percent capacity. Public grounds, gardens, walking tracks, cycling will be allowed from 5 am to 9 am.
Morning walk started, Mumbai local closed

Apart from this, private offices in Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Kalyan-Dombivli, Vasai-Virar will remain open till 4 pm with 50 percent capacity. But increasing the crowd and crowded shooting will not be allowed.
Social and cultural programs can be started from Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 4 pm with 50 percent capacity. The presence of 50 people is allowed in the marriage program and the presence of 20 people is allowed in the funeral. Gyms, salons, spas will remain open till 4 pm with 50 percent capacity. Public transport will start at full capacity.
Section 144 and Night Curfew will remain in force
Apart from this, Section 144 (Jamabandi) will remain in force in all these places till 5 pm and Night Curfew (Communication Bandi) will be in force from 5 pm to morning. These rules are applicable to Thane (Except Thane and Navi Mumbai Municipal Area), Nashik, Palghar, Wardha, Akola, Amravati, Aurangabad (Except Municipal Area), Beed, Bhandara, Gadchiroli, Osmanabad, Parbhani, Solapur (Except Municipal Area), Washim Will be applicable in the district also.
What started in the fourth phase areas, what will remain closed?
In phase four, Pune (Pune has been kept in two phases. Urban areas are in three and rural areas are in four.), Kolhapur, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sangli, Satara, Sindhudurg districts will open shops of essential services till 4 pm. Other shops will remain closed. Curfew (bandi of communication) will continue in these districts. Only parcel service is allowed from the restaurant. Gyms, salons will be open till 4 pm with 50 percent capacity. But only those people who have been vaccinated will be allowed in these places. Public grounds, gardens, walking tracks, cycling will start from 5 am to 9 am from Monday to Friday.
Government offices are allowed to start with 25 per cent staff attendance. Outdoor games are allowed to be played from Monday to Friday till 9 am. Indoor games will remain closed. In marriage ceremonies, 25 people will be able to be present for the last rites. Public buses will start with 50 percent capacity. Only essential items will be allowed for distribution under e-commerce. Industry business will start with 50 percent capacity.
