After Israel’s deadliest raid in decades raised the possibility of a significant escalation in hostilities, the defence minister of Israel suggested on Friday that the IDF might cease its raids if Palestinian terrorist organisations stopped their rocket fire. The limited firing between Israeli soldiers and militants in Gaza has so far followed a predictable pattern that enables both sides to react without causing a significant escalation. After reviewing the circumstances leading up to Gandhi’s murder, Santoshi leaps into an other universe where Gandhi survives the three bullets Godse fired into his chest and approaches him for a conversation.
