More production in Malda of Bengal
In Bengal, the production of Fazli mango is more in the areas along the banks of Mahananda and Kalindi rivers. This mango is grown in abundance in almost all the areas of Malda district. Apart from Fazli, there are many varieties of mangoes in Malda. These include the names of Gopalbhog, Brindaban, Langra, Khirsapati, Kishanbhog, Kalapahar, Bombay. In the end it fades and lasts for a long time. Around Fazli is the Aswani Mango, which is taken at the end of the production.
How Fazli Mango got its name
Fazli mango gets its name from Fazli Babu who is associated with Fazal Bibi of Arapur village. The quality of the soil in this area is such that the amount of organic nutrition is very high. Mangoes benefit from this nutrition and mangoes are heavy and juicy. Although there is a lot of production in the mango season, but if there is a flood, then the entire production gets ruined.
Sudden change in weather and rapid decrease in temperature also has a profound effect on this mango. There is a special identity of when Fajli is to be plucked from mango trees. When one or two mangoes ripen and fall on their own, the farmers understand that mangoes should be harvested. Normally mangoes are plucked and dropped in the water basket so as not to get hurt. This will not spoil the mangoes.
