The second phase of the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya will start in December and during this time stone work will be done to erect the structure of the temple. The temple trust gave this information on Monday. According to the Ram Mandir Trust, the work of filling the foundation will be completed by the end of October and the second phase of construction will be started from December, in which the stone work will be done to prepare the structure of the grand temple.
Ram Mandir Trust trustee Anil Mishra said, “The work of installing pink stones of Mirzapur will be started in December and order has been placed for pink stones. The work of cutting and carving these stones will be done in Ram Janmabhoomi itself. In a 50-feet deep foundation of 400 feet in length and 300 feet in width, 50 layers of a mixture of 10 inches thickness of construction material will be laid.
‘Part of the construction likely to be completed by October’
A few days ago, Champat Rai, general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, had told that the construction work of Ram temple in Ayodhya is going on in full swing. He said a part of the construction is likely to be completed by October this year. Rai mentioned the works related to the construction of the temple. He said, “The temple construction work is going on in two shifts of 12-12 hours for the entire 24 hours. About 1.2 lakh square meters of land has been dug up. It takes 4-5 days to apply a one foot think layer and compact it. We hope to complete it in October. By the grace of Lord Ram, all the workers and engineers are healthy.”
He said, “The four layers are stacked one on top of the other which is 400 feet long and 300 feet wide. One layer is pressed with a roller and then the next layer is placed. We have to have 40-50 layers. It’s called roller-compact concrete.” The responsibility of construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya has been entrusted to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
