Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Narendra Modi) chaired a high-level committee meeting through video conferencing today on Thursday to celebrate the 400th birth anniversary (Prakash Parva) of the ninth Guru Tegh Bahadur Singh of the Sikh community. . During this time he said that in the last four centuries, there has been no such time or any phase of India, which we can imagine without the influence of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. The occasion of the 400th ‘Prakashotsav’ of the ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur, is a national duty.

PM Modi said, “As the ninth Guru, we all get inspiration from him. The ninth Guru showed the path of Jeeva Seva along with Rashtra Seva and gave the mantra of equality, harmony and sacrifice, which is the duty of all to follow and reach the people. From Guru Nanak Dev ji to Guru Tegh Bahadur ji and then to Guru Gobind Singh ji, our Sikh Guru tradition has been a complete philosophy of life in itself. Along with the life and teachings of Guru Tegh Bahadur, we should also take the entire Guru tradition to the world. ”

“All of us have received this grace”

The Prime Minister said in his address, “Prakashotsav of Guru Tegh Bahadur (Prakash Parv) Opportunity is also a spiritual privilege and a national duty. In order to contribute some of it to us, this Guru Kripa has been given to all of us. He said, ‘If the whole world wants to understand life, it can be easily understood by looking at the life of the gurus. There was sacrifice and knowledge in his life as well as light and also spiritual height. ” He went on to say, “How is Sikh doing such great works of social service? How are our gurudwaras the awakening center of human service? If we take these messages to the whole world, then we will be able to give a great inspiration to humanity. ”

400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur

Let us know that last year, the Central Government had decided to celebrate the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur with great pomp. A committee was formed under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister regarding this. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, many Union ministers, Chief Ministers of many states and many dignitaries from across the country are members of this committee. This committee will formulate a policy and plan to spread the teachings of Guru Tegh Bahadur and his ideas in the country and the world.

Appeal to add as many people as possible

The Prime Minister called for the addition of more people from the year-long events and cultural programs, and said that these will inspire the new generation. Urging him to do research and prepare documents, he appealed to take the Guru tradition to every corner of the world. The meeting, organized through video conference, was attended by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and other members of the committee.
