Freedom Fighter Mr. Karan Singh
Born in Jharalia village of Bajna region, Karan Singh participated in many movements for India’s independence, including the Non-Cooperation Movement, Quit India Movement, and was arrested by the British in the year 1942. He remained in jail for about 9 months and was fined Rs 500. At that time 500 rupees used to be a huge amount. Karan Singh was a farmer by profession, according to his grandson Lalit Pramukh, because of his active role in the freedom movement, people in the area knew him as Munshi ji.
Freedom Fighter Chiranji Lal Sharma
Born in Chandpur Kalan village of Bajna region, Chiranji Lal Sharma was associated with the Congress, because of his active participation in the freedom movement, the British arrested him and kept him in Mathura jail for three months. According to Siyaram, nephew of Chiranjilal Sharma, once Chiranji Lal was also in jail in Delhi. He was a farmer by profession and also used to sing bhajans, due to which he was known as Rasik in the area.
Freedom Fighter Mr. Jugal Kishore
Jugal Kishore took part in the Satyagraha movement, he was born in Chandpur Kalan village of Bajra district. Due to his participation in the Satyagraha movement, the British kept him in Mathura jail for six months. He was a farmer by profession, his son Udai Singh told that after independence, Jugal Kishore contested the election from the Mont Assembly on the ticket of Socialist Party, however could not win.
Freedom Fighter Nanak Chandra Sharma
This Lal of Bajna had participated in the Jail Bharo movement. At the age of 16, the British sent him to jail twice, both times he was returned from Agra jail due to his young age. Nanak Chandra was a farmer by profession, but he also had knowledge of Hindi, English and Urdu, according to Arvind Sharma, the grandson of Nanak Chandra, he had also taken a diploma related to eye treatment from Jhansi.
Freedom Fighter Mr. Dalchand
