He has said that the government is refusing to give the exact number of our farmers killed in the ongoing agitation on the borders of Delhi for the last one year. We have a list of more than 400 farmers killed during the protest.

Along with this, he also said that if he wants to identify the farmers who lost their lives during the protest, then I will cooperate with the government. We have staged a walkout from Parliament today in protest against the government’s apathy towards farmers.

The proceedings of the sixth day were uproar

At the same time, the proceedings of the sixth day of the winter session in Parliament were uproar. While the opposition’s uproar over the suspension of 12 MPs in the Rajya Sabha continued, the issue of farmers killed in the farmers’ agitation was raised in the Lok Sabha and the government was demanded to pay compensation to their families. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has given Adjournment Motion Notice to discuss compensation to the families of farmers who lost their lives in the farmers’ agitation. After this, Rahul Gandhi demanded compensation for the martyrdom of farmers in the House.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said in the Lok Sabha, ‘Around 700 farmers were martyred in the farmers’ movement. The Prime Minister apologized to the country and to the farmers. He admitted that he had made a mistake. On November 30, the Agriculture Minister was asked how many farmers were martyred in the farmers’ movement. He said that he does not have any data. We found out, the Punjab government has given compensation of Rs 5 lakh to about 400 farmers.

Rahul Gandhi said, 152 of them have been given employment to the farmers. I have this list, which I have given to the House. 70 farmers of Haryana have also got compensation. The Prime Minister apologized and your government is saying that no farmer was martyred or their names are not in the records, so these names are here. I want that whatever is their right and whatever the Prime Minister has said, the apology has to be fulfilled, their right should be fulfilled. They should get compensation and jobs.

TRS MPs did walkout

At the same time, in support of the farmers, TRS MPs also raised slogans in the House and walked out from the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. All the TRS MPs were wearing black clothes. Party leader Keshav Rao said that the government is insensitive towards the farmers. It is the responsibility of the Center to buy paddy in the state. Give dues to farmers.

Uproar as soon as Rajya Sabha proceedings begin

At the same time, as soon as the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha started, it was adjourned due to the uproar of the opposition MPs. At the same time, 12 suspended opposition MPs, who have been protesting daily since the suspension, even today protested in front of the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the Parliament premises. Choudhary, senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut and several other opposition MPs reached out to his support and raised slogans against the government. The suspended Rajya Sabha members sat on a dharna in front of the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the Parliament premises in protest against this action taken against them. He said that till the suspension is not revoked, he will sit on a dharna in front of the statue of Mahatma Gandhi from morning till evening during the proceedings of Parliament.

What did Mallikarjun Kharge say?

Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge said, the government is responsible for the disturbances being created in the Rajya Sabha. If you are suspending the MPs, then you can suspend according to the rule. The talk of the last session was suspended by bringing it to the winter session. Before talking to every suspended MPs, they should have told why they are suspending and this should have happened only on 11 August 2021.

“We have decided that we will continue our protest till the suspended MPs are not taken back,” Kharge said. If the suspension is not revoked, then along with the sitting MPs, we will also sit and fast for a day. We have also made this request to the MPs of Lok Sabha. The way the government is running is dictatorship. Modi ji wants to run the House like a Dictator.

Mallikarjun Kharge said, the government is responsible for the disturbances arising in the Rajya Sabha, we tried very hard to run the house. We kept meeting the Leader of the House, the Chairman repeatedly and kept our point that when you are suspending under Rule 256, you can suspend according to that rule only. But he left those rules and wrongly brought the incident that happened in the monsoon session to the winter session and suspended 12 members. The intention of the government is not to run the House.

After this, the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha resumed at 3 pm, although the uproar of the opposition continued, after which the house was adjourned till 11 am on Wednesday.
