According to the report of news agency ANI, Northern Command sources said, “The post of Major General Medical is vacant for the last 6 months. An officer was appointed last month, but due to some last minute changes, his joining is also getting delayed.” He said that the army is sending proposals for the appointment of officers but no action has been taken so far.
The Northern Command of the Army is headed by Lt Gen YK Joshi. The medical branch of the Armed Forces is managed by a higher authority of the Indian Army, but it is completely under the control of the Ministry of Defence.
