In the last seven days, at least 22 people have died in Titoli village in Rohtak district of Haryana. It is being told that all the dead had fever, due to which the local residents are living in the shadow of fear. The villagers suspect that all the people have died from Corona. This village is on Jind Road. Rohtak is barely 10 km from the city and the village has more than 3,000 voters.
Suresh Kumar, representative of the village sarpanch Parmila said, ‘The streets of the busy village have become deserted after the death of so many residents in the last one week. Five days ago, 11 pyre were burnt in the crematorium of the village. We have never seen anything like this before. He said that within a week the family members of those who died said that the deceased had fever for two days and died thereafter. The symptoms of almost all deaths in the last seven days were the same. He said that at least seven of the dead were under 40 years of age.
Many villagers also performed Havan
In this regard, the village informed the district administration and health department, after which samples of the kin of the deceased were taken. Suresh Kumar said, “To prevent more deaths in the village, many villagers are also doing Havan.” However, Jagdish Kumar, a milkman from Titoli village, claimed that the actual number of deaths in the last seven days was double the claim of the representative of the village sarpanch. Despite the death of so many people, the presence of the District Health Department has shown negligible presence on the ground.

Police received information about deaths under mysterious circumstances
Assistant Sub-Inspector Sombir Dahiya at Titoli Police Station said that he had been receiving reports of deaths under mysterious circumstances in the last four to five days. The villagers told the police that the deceased had been in fever for two days and died thereafter. Dahiya said that the police is patrolling the main outposts of the village and appealed to the people not to sit or drink hookah or sit together to avoid the virus. At the same time, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Anil Birla said that the Health Department was aware of the deaths in the village of Titoli and a survey of the entire village has been done. A senior medical officer is preparing a report on how many deaths have occurred and what has been the reason behind them.
