Till now, tourists used to get the opportunity to visit Srinagar, Budgam, Barmula and Anantnag in Kashmir. Now tourists are going to get a chance to roam in the most beautiful places of the world in the districts affected by terrorism.
Kashmir
The news of increasing number of tourists in Kashmir is bringing peace to the heart. Today, 2 national newspapers of the country published positive news of Kashmir. A Hindi newspaper told itself on its front page that Kashmir is buzzing with tourists, on the other hand, an English daily published an editor’s travelogue on its editorial page, which read the echoes of the peace of tourists in Kashmir. Amidst the sound of ammunition, amidst the footsteps of the soldiers and the bloodied photographs of local citizens with security forces, when we are coming from Kashmir, please do not ignore it due to your political choice. Understand the importance of them and prepare to burn a peace given by yourself.
Just think that this is new Kashmir, this place is desperate to give love as much violence has happened here. If possible, motivate yourself or others to go to Kashmir. Perhaps permanent peace in Kashmir will come from this only. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has inspired to visit Kashmir by tweeting. Recently, in response to a question in the Rajya Sabha, Tourism Minister Prahlada Singh Patel had said that in the era of global epidemic, tourism in Kashmir is getting full support from domestic tourists. He told that in January 2019, where only 3700 tourists arrived in Kashmir, in January 2020 this number has reached 19000 thousand. He also informed that shooting of about 26 films is going on in Kashmir. Which is very encouraging for Kashmir.
Now tourists can roam in all districts of Kashmir
The news is coming that for the first time in 3 decades all the districts of Kashmir are going to get freedom to roam. Till now, tourists used to get the opportunity to visit Srinagar, Budgam, Barmula and Anantnag in Kashmir. Now the tourists are going to get a chance to roam in the districts affected by terrorism. We can see the most beautiful places in the world like Tangdhar of Kaupwara, Bangas, Gurez of Bandipora, Shikargah of Pulwama. For some years, the name of these districts was heard in the media only due to the encounter with terrorists. It is being told that all the hotels in Gulmarg are full before one month. There are 40 percent hotel advance book in Srinagar. Even amidst reports of corona epidemic and sporadic violence, people are going to Kashmir, then one can understand that such Mughal emperor Jahangir would not have called this place a paradise on earth.
Tourism is getting a boost in the valley
The best time for tourism in the valley is considered to be between April and November. The two years after the end of Article 370 were not very good for Kashmir, yet the arrival of tourists has been satisfactory. Local administration and the center are constantly trying to maintain this order. 7 tracking routes have been approved. Due to the increasing number of people interested in environment and wildlife, tourists will now be able to book the guesthouse and inspection house of the forest department. Bookings for about 29 such rest houses are starting from May 1. It is being told that their number will be reduced to 58 by July.
Extensive action against terrorists
According to the 2020 report of the Institute of Conflict Management, about 321 people have died in 140 terrorism incidents last year. In which 232 terrorists have been killed, 56 security forces personnel and 33 innocent Kashmiris have also been killed. Statistics show that most of the damage has been done by terrorists. After the end of 370, terrorists have not been successful in any major action. Its effect is not only in the people of the country but also in the people of Kashmir. Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha meets common Kashmiris once a week and resolves their problems immediately. A compact box has been kept in all panchayats. The Block Day program has been started on Wednesday, in which the problems of common Kashmiris are resolved immediately. The result of these initiatives to gain confidence is that people are welcoming tourists wholeheartedly.
Kashmir’s development budget increased
The central government has allocated 786 crores for tourism in Kashmir in this year’s budget, which is almost one-and-a-half times the Rs 509 crores last year. With this, 408 crores have been given for infrastructure in Kashmir, which will definitely facilitate the movement of tourists. Along with this, the Center had expressed its intention by releasing a budget of Rs 1.08 lakh crore for economic-socio-cultural development in the state.
The increasing participation of the Kashmiri youth in the IAS and other examinations of the Union Public Service Commission, the gathering of the army and police recruitments is enough to tell that the people here want peace. The incidents of stone pelting have been history for the valley. The atmosphere has changed drastically after the direct flights from the big cities of the country to the valley have started.
