Already 13 agencies including three implementing agencies- NABARD, SFAC and NCDC have been nominated in the scheme.
Rs 6,865 crore will be spent in the FPO scheme
Tomar said that earlier about 7 thousand FPOs were formed in the country, but most were not being sustainable, that is why Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Narendra Modi) came up with a new scheme. FPOs are small farmers’ organizations. The government will spend Rs 6,865 crore on this entire scheme. There are about 86 percent small farmers in the country. The aim of the government is to provide facilities like providing inputs through FPOs to processing and selling of produce at reasonable prices in the market.
