Tamil Nadu assembly elections were concluded on Tuesday peacefully amidst tight security. Although sporadic incidents were reported in one or two places in the state, but no major untoward incident is known. This time too, voters took an active part in the voting. At the same time, DMK leader and Lok Sabha MP Kanimozhi, who is getting treatment of Kovid-19, voted at the polling station wearing a PPE kit.

All the personnel of polling booths wore PPE kits before the arrival of people infected with Corona virus. The premises were later sanitized. The last hour (6 pm-7pm) was set for voting for Kovid-19 infected voters or those suspected of being infected with the virus.
Despite being infected with the virus, the total number of people who decided to vote using PPE is not known yet. DMK President Stalin voted after paying tribute to his father and party’s elder leader M Karunanidhi and party founder CN Annadurai. At the same time, Kamal Haasan, president of Makkal Nidhi Maayam, voted in Coimbatore, he is trying his luck in the assembly elections for the first time. Congress leader P Chidambaram, DMDK leader P Vijayakanth, Naam Tamilar Kachi leader Seaman, PMK MP A Ramdas and other leaders voted.
