Shri Krishna Suman, a 55-year-old farmer living in Kota city of Rajasthan, has developed this evergreen variety of mangoes. It gives sweet and tasty fruits for 12 months. The amazing thing is that even in this variety, common diseases do not appear.
It is much sweeter than other varieties and looks like lame mango. Rich in nutrients, it is considered very good for general health. Its anus is short in fiber and has deep orange color. This mango tree is very dense. Due to which the ridge is also found. Its tree can also be planted in pots for a few years.
It took 15 years to prepare this variety
According to DD Farmer’s report, Shri Krishna Suman used to work as a gardener earlier. To increase the family’s income, he started cultivating flowers. Along with this, mango trees were also planted. Then he got his eye on a tree which was growing very fast and it used to bear fruits throughout the year. After seeing this, he started planting a pen in this tree. This is about 2000 years. Cuttings began to bear fruit within two years. Similarly, he continued his work and it took Suman about 15 years to prepare this variety.
The variety of mango variety of Sri Krishna Suman has also been recognized by the National Innovation Foundation- India (NIF). Not only this, the NIF has also given the facility to the National Horticulture Institute to go and evaluate this type of site. Even NIF has helped in planting this type of plant in the Mughal Gardens of Rashtrapati Bhavan. Sri Krishna Suman was awarded the 9th National Trinamool Innovation and Distinguished Traditional Knowledge Award of NIF for developing such a magnificent variety.
Orders are being received from abroad
At present, efforts are being made to spread this variety of mangoes to farmers, government organizations, state agricultural departments and other institutions associated with agriculture. Shri Krishna Suman himself has supplied more than 6000 plants of this mango variety. At the same time, Suman has received more than 8 thousand orders for this mango plant in the last three years. Many orders have also come from abroad.
Farmer Suman says that he also gives these varieties of mangoes to the institutions related to the agricultural sector so that it reaches the farmers and more people can take advantage of it. According to Suman, he has given this mango variety to agricultural science centers, agricultural research institutes and centers in many states including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Work is going on here and this variety is expected to reach as many people as possible in the coming days.
