In another statement, Anjuman-e-Awkaf, expressing regret to the people, said that the police and district administration called him on Saturday and told him that if prayers are not offered at Idgah and Jamia Masjid in Srinagar before seven in the morning, then offer prayers after that. will not be allowed. Anjuman-e-Awkaf expressed surprise that the authorities have no problem in allowing Eid prayers at Hazratbal Dargah at 10.30 am, but they are imposing conditions for offering prayers at the Idgah.
Displeasure over the terms of the administration
According to Anjuman, the administration has imposed many conditions regarding offering Namaz in Idgah and Jamia Masjid and has sought a written undertaking from the management in this regard. If sources are to be believed, this decision has been taken by the police and administration regarding law and order. It has been told that after Eid Namaz in Idgah, it has been a common practice to spoil the situation by mischievous elements, which the police and administration will not allow.
The officials reviewed the preparations in the Dargahs for the Eid prayers
Several administrative officers, including MoS and Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board President Dr. Daraksha Andrabi, took stock of the preparations for Eid Namaz at Sonwar located in Srinagar, including Dargah Hazratbal, Dargah Sultan-ul-Arifeen, Dargah Ghaus-ul-Azam Dastagir and Dargah Sheikh Yakub Sarfi. And assured that Namaz will be allowed in Idgah on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, because on this Eid the preparations in Idgah for Namaz were not yet complete.
