The Supreme Court today lauded the Mumbai Municipal Corporation, in view of the lack of oxygen during the corona treatment across the country and especially in Delhi, and exhorted the Center and the Delhi government that BMC in dealing with the situation of Kovid 19 Has done quite a good job. Learn from their experience and use them in Delhi. While giving advice on the oxygen crisis in the capital Delhi, Justice Chandrachud said that oxygen should be distributed by scientific method.
The Supreme Court questioned the central government that it was advised to prepare a buffer stock of oxygen, what initiative did the government take on it? When, despite being overpopulated, Mumbai can succeed in doing this, then why not Delhi? Delhi needs 700 metric oxygen, but only 550 metric tons is being supplied. According to the demand, the Supreme Court gave instructions to the Central Government to tell when and how oxygen will be available to Delhi till 10:30 AM tomorrow.

When the Supreme Court asked why oxygen was not supplied to Delhi, the central government’s reply was that the demand of Delhi has suddenly increased. We have to guess the oxygen requirements, then we supply oxygen accordingly. On this, the court said that it is not a scientific method to calculate the need of oxygen per bed. SC was hearing a petition against HC
Due to failure to provide oxygen to the capital Delhi, the Delhi High Court sent a notice of contempt of court to the government. In protest, a petition was filed in the Supreme Court by the Central Government. Hearing this petition on Wednesday, the Supreme Court gave this edict.
Mumbai towards continuous improvement
In the beginning of the second wave, up to 11 thousand positive cases used to come in Mumbai in a day. From that point of view, the lockdown in Mumbai, the decision to shut down the local service and to a great extent the hard work of the BMC administration has shown its impact. On Tuesday, 2 thousand 554 new cases were reported in Mumbai in a day. While 5 thousand 240 people recovered from Corona and went home. For the last three weeks, new corona cases have been decreasing in Mumbai continuously and the number of cured people is almost double than the new cases.
