After JNU and Jamia, now the Panjab University in Chandigarh created ruckus over the BBC documentary on PM Modi. The Central Government has banned the documentary of BBC in the country. Despite this, efforts are being made to screen the controversial documentary in many educational institutions of the country.

NSUI Showed The Documentary

In Panjab University, NSUI showed a documentary made on PM Modi to the students by installing a projector on Stu-C for about half an hour around 5 pm. During this, PU Security got it closed with the help of police.

NSUI got into a dispute with PU security

At Stu-C of Panjab University, students’ union NSUI got into a dispute with PU security over a documentary made on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Gujarat riots. During this many students came to watch the documentary. NSUI President Sachin Galav told that the information about the documentary was not made public till evening so that the police did not stop the showing of the documentary. In the evening, a BBC documentary on the Gujarat riots was shown to the students through a projector. The documentary was shown to the students for half an hour, later PU security, with the help of the police, forcibly stopped it.

It is wrong to show the banned content by the government in educational institutions. Rules should be followed in educational institutions and all these things should be kept away from student politics says Pravesh Bishnoi, Secretary, PU Students Union.
