SBI has informed through Twitter that linking of Aadhaar-PAN card can be done from home, for this you do not need to go to any bank branch. For this, you go to the website https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/ and click on ‘Link Aadhaar’ here. After this fill the requested information, which includes PAN, Aadhar number and name etc. Provide your name or address as per your Aadhar card records. After this click on ‘Link Aadhaar’ and after this the Aadhaar will be linked after verification from UIDAI.

You can also link Aadhaar through message. In such a situation, you can complete this work through messaging by sending SMS to 567678 or 56161. To link Aadhaar-PAN, type IDPN in capital letter on your mobile and send it to the number 567678 or 56161. To know its status, enter the 12-digit Aadhaar number from the mobile number, then type the 10-digit PAN number by giving space. Send this SMS to 567678 or 56161. You will get the information.
Let us tell you that there is not even a month left in the deadline for linking Aadhaar with PAN card. If someone is not able to link Aadhaar with PAN, then he can be fined Rs 1000. Along with this, his PAN card will also be deactivated. The new guidelines come under a new section (Section 234H) of the Income Tax Act 1961, which was recently added when the Finance Bill 2021 was passed.
