Under the aegis of Principal Controller of Defense Accounts, Prayagraj, the 175th Defense Pension Workshop and Defense Pension Adalat were organized for two days by Rajiv Ranjan, Principal Controller of Defense Accounts in the courtyard of Inter College, Gahmar village.
A two-day workshop was organized by the Principal Controller of Defense Accounts Pension Prayagraj on Thursday at Gahmar Inter College in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. In this workshop, a strange situation was seen when Santosh Dubey, son of a soldier, resident of Buxar whose parents have died. He narrated his grief there. Hearing this, tears welled up in everyone’s eyes. Santosh Dubey is the son of a soldier. His parents are dead and the son is blind. Due to lack of financial condition of Santosh, he had been living by begging in trains. After hearing the taunts of the people who met him for begging, he became so upset that he decided to commit self-immolation. Whose information came to the Ex-Servicemen Association and they stopped him and got him to talk to the Principal Controller. After which he changed his decision to commit suicide.
Widows of fighters honored
Under the aegis of Principal Controller of Defense Accounts Prayagraj, 175th Defense Pension Workshop and Defense Pension Adalat were organized for two days by Rajiv Ranjan, Principal Controller of Defense Accounts in the courtyard of Inter College of Gahmar village of Tehsil area. In which to remove the discrepancies in the pension of ex-servicemen, the ex-servicemen and their families have given applications. The program was inaugurated by the chief guest Rajiv Ranjan by lighting the lamp. The chief guest paid a heartfelt tribute by garlanding the portrait of the brave warrior Param Vir Chakra winner Veer Abdul Hameed and other warriors of the district, and during this time the brave fighters and their widows were also honored by giving them clothes.
The special guest present in the program was GOC East UP and MP Sub Area Major General JS Bainsala. In today’s workshop, ex-servicemen from many districts as well as Buxar Ara districts of Bihar participated. When all these people applied for their pension discrepancies, the pension and other dues of many people, which remained outstanding for the last several years, were also settled. The Principal Controller appreciated the excellent services of the ex-servicemen and assured them that any pension related problem would be resolved promptly by the Office of the Principal Controller of Defense Accounts, Prayagraj.
Gahmar one of the largest village in Asia
Let us inform that Gahmar village of Ghazipur district is known to be the largest village in Asia. In this village, on an average, one army soldier from one family is working in the service of the country. About 15,000 retired soldiers are residing in this village more than what they are working at present. In today’s Pension Adalat, the canteen which was closed for the last several years due to the deterioration of Tadighat Bara Road. There has been a demand to start that canteen. There was also a demand to remove the problems faced by ex-servicemen in medical treatment.
