On this occasion, Israel’s Ambassador to India Naor Gilone recalled the historical ties between the two countries and the contribution of Jewish diaspora in India in the fields of cinema, education, industry, among others. The Foreign Minister of India also mentioned the contribution of the Jewish community in various fields. He said that despite the geographical distance, there is a great affinity between the people of the two countries, which strengthens our relations and helps in finding new contacts.
PM Modi’s best wishes on the occasion of 75th Independence Day of Israel
At the same time, on the occasion of 75th Independence Day of Israel, Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the citizens of Israel and expressed hope that in the coming years, the relations between the two countries will be further strengthened. In a video message, PM Modi said that on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day of Israel, on behalf of the Government of India and all Indians, I extend my warm greetings to all our Israeli friends.
Referring to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India-Israel, he said that even though this chapter is new, the history of relations between the two countries is very old. He said that I hope that in the coming years we will further deepen our relationship. Earlier in the day, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar tweeted a message to his Israeli counterpart Yair Lapid and said, “Congratulations to my friend APM and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid and the Government of Israel and the people of the country on the 74th anniversary of their Independence Day.” He said that we will work together to realize the joint vision of our strategic partnership.
