The situation in Delhi is terrible with regard to Kovid. When the team of TV9 Digital reviewed the hospitals in Delhi, it came to know that there are no beds for the Kovid patients in the 14 major hospitals here. According to the latest data, 13,468 active cases have been registered, while the positivity rate is 13.14 percent. Apparently, due to the increasing cases of Corona, hospitals in Delhi are overloaded. And there is a panic in the capital due to the death of 81 patients in the last 24 hours.
Apollo Hospital in Delhi is so full of patients that most of the hospitals here are refusing beds for picking up the phone or are not picking up the phone even when they call again and again. Ganga Ram, a renowned hospital in Delhi, is also one of them. There are 185 Kovid beds, in which 87 ICU beds have been issued. But on calling the hospital, it was told that not a single bed is currently available for the Kovid patient.
This is the condition of Maharaja Agrasen Hospital Shalimar Bagh where 150 beds are allotted for Kovid but there too it was told on phone call that all the beds are full.
No beds in Max, Fortis Hospital
The condition of Max Hospital Shalimar Bagh is the same at present but after two days the situation may change slightly here. When the TV9 team called and asked, it was told that 120 beds are available for Kovid, out of which 25 are issued for ICU and all are full at the moment. The condition is more or less similar to that of Fortis Hospital Shalimar Bagh where 100 Kovid beds have been allotted, while Jaipur Golden Hospital Rohini is also currently being told that there are no vacant beds available for Kovid patients.
Delhi government’s claim of availability of beds proved to be wrong
In the figures given by the Delhi government, on April 13, 4,936 beds are said to be empty, while on April 14, the truth is coming out after getting information about the availability of beds by calling 14 major hospitals. Mata Chanan Devi Hospital Janakpuri has accepted the fact that one bed is empty. At the same time, ICU beds claimed not to be empty.
Apollo Hospitals Sarita Bihar, Holy Family Okhla, Max Saket, Balaji Golden West Bihar, Saroj Super Hospital Rohini, Manipal Hospital Dwarka, Pushpavati Singhania Hospital did not pick up the phone or disconnected it on repeated calls. Apparently, there is a glut of covid patients in these hospitals, so the Kovid departments are reluctant to follow the fol ressive due to chaos.
Why is the situation in Delhi looking frightening?
Delhi is the capital of the country. But Kovid’s new strain has shaken Delhi. The CM of Delhi himself has accepted that the fourth wave of this time is the most dangerous and to give the vaccine to the central government, the age limit should be extended to everyone. In Delhi, the death toll from Corona has reached 11 thousand 436 while the case fatality rate has reached 1.52 percent. During this period, by April 13, the number of active cases has reached 43 thousand 510.
Obviously, the rapid spread of corona and the lack of beds in the hospital creates a feeling of fear in the mind. In such a situation, the hope of God is left when he is suffering from Kovid.
