This was a bigger movement than the freedom struggle.
He further claimed that the Ram temple had begun the journey of the era of Ram Rajya and that India’s fortunes would be better after the temple was built. Also said that the present century belongs to Ram. The charity campaign became a bridge to unite the whole country and it proved that only Ram can unite the nation. Surendra Jain said that secular politics has only divided the country.
‘Ram temple movement awakened Hindu society’
Meanwhile, speaking at the release of a book titled ‘Sab Ke Ram’, RSS joint general secretary Arun Kumar on Sunday said that the Ram temple movement awakened Hindu society and it became a moment of self-realization for Hindus. The event was organized by VHP. A VHP statement quoted Arun Kumar as saying that those who were saying that the spirit of Hindutva is dying out, their doubts have been answered by the tide of donations received for the Ram temple. The Ram Mandir movement is the self-realization of the Hindu society. It awakened the Hindu society. The movement was not the result of a reaction, but of the commitment of the Hindus.
He said that our dream is of a harmonious society. Our endurance is not because of our cowardice, but because of our courage and enterprise. Leaders of VHP, RSS and BJP were involved in the Ram Mandir movement and they demolished the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya in 1992. In 2019, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Hindus and gave them the disputed site, while the accused in the Babri Masjid demolition were acquitted.
