‘Rakesh Tikait in wrong company’
Senior BKU functionary Harinam Singh had said on Sunday that the national vice president of the organization, Rajesh Chauhan, has announced the formation of Bharatiya Kisan Union (Apolitical) in Lucknow on the occasion of the death anniversary of Mahendra Singh Tikait. While Rajesh Chauhan said on this occasion, ‘I tried to present my point of view from time to time but BKU President Naresh Tikait and spokesperson Rakesh Tikait neither listened to the workers nor paid attention to the problems of the farmers. He got into wrong company and insulted us.
‘Wandered from ideals’
Rajesh Tikait says, ‘I wholeheartedly supported Naresh Tikait and Rakesh Tikait but when elections came, they both deviated from the ideals of Mahendra Singh Tikait. They got into political trouble and made the organization a puppet in the hands of political parties.
‘Tikait was under the influence of political parties’
Without naming any political party, Chouhan said that Rakesh Tikait was under the influence of political parties. He campaigned for one party in the election while opposing the other party. Chouhan also said that the decision to form a separate organization is not his personal but that of his workers and farmers.
At the same time, the executive committee of the BKU (apolitical) organization that has been announced by Rajesh Chauhan has also been decided. In this, it has been announced to make Rajesh Singh Malik as Chairman / Patron. On the other hand, it has been announced to appoint Rajesh Singh Chauhan as President, Mangeram Tyagi as Vice President, Anil Talan as National General Secretary, Dharmendra Malik as National Spokesperson and Bindu Kumar as Treasurer.
