Rajasthan By Election Result 2021: Voting was held on April 17 for Sahada in Bhilwara district, Rajsamand in Rajsamand district and Sujangarh assembly seats in Churu district.
For the by-elections of the three assembly constituencies in Rajasthan, a counting of votes was conducted at the district headquarters on Sunday along with the compliance of all the guidelines related to Kovid. During this time, the relatives of the deceased MLAs have retained their respective seats. The Rajsamand seat was with the BJP and Sahada and Sujangarh Congress. Deepti Maheshwari has won in Rajsamand, while Manoj Kumar Meghwal of Congress on Sujangarh seat and Gayatri Devi on Sahada seat have won the victory.
By-elections were held after the death of outgoing MLA Master Bhanwarlal Meghwal from Darsial, Sujangarh, Kailash Trivedi, MLA from Sahada and Kiran Maheshwari, MLA from Rajsamand. Meghwal and Trivedi were Congress MLAs, while Maheshwari was a BJP MLA. Both parties gave tickets to their family members.
27 candidates were trying their luck in all three seats.
Voting was held on April 17 for Sahada in Bhilwara district, Rajsamand in Rajsamand district and Sujangarh assembly seats in Churu district. BJP had fielded Khemaram Meghwal in Sujangarh, Ratanlal Jat in Sahada and Deepti Maheshwari in Rajsamand. At the same time, Congress gave tickets to Manoj Kumar Meghwal on Sujangarh seat, Gayatri Devi on Sahada seat and Tansukh Bohra in Rajsamand seat. There were a total of 27 candidates in all the three seats, where there were a total of 743802 voters.
Counting of votes in so many rounds on all three seats
During the counting of votes in Rajasthan, arrangements were made to place a counting agent in a PPE kit so that the infection could not spread under any circumstances. It was made mandatory for all personnel carrying EVMs from strong rooms to the counting hall. Counting was done in 30 rounds in Sujangarh, 28 in Sahada and 25 rounds in Rajsamand. Earlier, the results of counting of votes used to come till noon, but with all these reasons, due to the guidelines of Kovid, now the results are expected till late evening.
CM Gehlot appealed not to celebrate
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday appealed to the people not to celebrate the results of the by-elections in the assembly seats and show restraint and discipline. Gehlot tweeted, “The results of the by-elections in the three seats in the state will be declared, looking at the results, my appeal is not to celebrate any kind in the wake of the Corona transition, don’t gather the crowd, gather or come out and burst.” No program should be done including leaving. All leaders of political parties, activists, winners, supporters, etc. should behave in a peaceful manner with regard to the election results, in view of the present situation, the disciplinary behavior of all of us is very important.
