Railways will run special trains between Mumbai and Chennai, booking starts from October 14, see the list of trains here

In view of the rush of passengers in the upcoming festive season, the Railways has decided to run a special train between Mumbai and Chennai. Only those passengers who will have a confirmed train ticket will be able to travel in these special trains. Those waiting will not be allowed to travel. In this regard, the Public Relations Department of Central Railway Mumbai said that Train No. 01459 Superfast Special train will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 12.45 hrs every day from 1st November till further orders and will reach Puratchi Thalivar Dr. MGR Chennai Central at 10.50 hrs the next day.

Similarly, 01460 Superfast Special train will leave Puratchi Thalivar Dr. MGR Chennai Central at 13.25 hrs every day from 2nd November and will reach Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 12.30 hrs the next day. In view of Diwali, Railways is increasing the operation of trains to handle the extra rush of passengers. The number of trains is being increased from every corner of the country so that the crowd in the trains does not increase.

These trains will stop at these stations

These special special trains running on festival are called Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Karjat (Only for 01459), Lonavala (Only for 01459), Khadki, Pune, Daund, Kurduwadi, Solapur, Kalaburagi, Wadi, Yadgir, Raichur, Mantralayam Road. , Adoni, Guntakal, Gooty, Tadipatri, Yerraguntla, Kadapa, Rajaampeta, Koduru, Renigunta, Puttur, Tiruttani, Arakkonam, Tiruvallur and Perambur (only for 01459) stations have halted. Special trains will stop at all these mentioned stations and will provide boarding and deboarding services to the passengers.

In these special trains, arrangement of 01 AC-02 Tier, 4 AC-03 Tier, 08 Sleeper Coach and 04 Second Class Seating has been made. All these tickets can be booked by visiting the official website of the Railways.

Railway Public Relations Department has informed that 01479 Superfast Special train will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 13.20 hrs every Monday and will reach Puratchi Thalivar Dr. MGR Chennai Central at 11.00 hrs the next day. Wherein 01480 Superfast Special will leave Puratchi Thalivar Dr. MGR Chennai Central at 15.50 hrs on every Tuesday from November 2 and arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 14.25 hrs the next day.

About Halt and Coach

These special trains will be diverted at Kalyan, Pune, Solapur, Kalaburagi, Wadi, Yadgir, Raichur, Mantralayam Road, Adoni (only for 01480), Guntakal, Gooty, Yeraguntla, Cuddapah, Renigunta, Arakkonam and Perambur (only for 01479) stations. Halt is given. In these trains also, 01 AC-02 Tier, 04 AC-3 Tier, 11 Sleeper Class and 04 Second Class Seating have been arranged.

Only those passengers who will have a confirmed ticket will be able to travel in these trains. Those with waiting tickets are not allowed to travel. This train will be fully reserved. Booking for Special Train No. 01459 and 01479 on normal fare will start from October 14 at all computerized reservation centers and website www.irctc.co.in.
