Railway has started a new initiative to protect people from any kind of infection while traveling in the train. Railways has prepared a special type of Wireless UV Devices, which will sanitize the entire bogie in just two and a half minutes. Railways has claimed that the use of this device will prevent coronavirus infection in the coming days.
Usually UV light is harmful to the common man. Because this technology runs on UV light only, so robots have been used in it. As long as the robot disinfects the bogie, no one will remain in that bogie, so that the ill-effects of any harmful rays emanating from the machine can be avoided.
What is this technology?
Surgical instruments are usually cleaned with UV light in operation theatres. The same UV light has been used here. It takes forty to forty-five minutes to sanitize twenty coaches of the entire rake. At present, it has been started experimentally by the Railways in Delhi Lucknow Shatabdi. Whereas in Kalka Shatabdi it is going to start soon. According to Northern Railway spokesperson Deepak Kumar, it will be used in more and more trains in the coming days.
This technology is in the aircraft
Captain Pawan of Green Sky Aviation told NewsNCR that it is currently being used in Air India Express. Apart from this, this technology is also being used in all the major air operators around the world, including Emirates and Qatar Airways.
