PM Modi said that today the foundation stone for a project worth more than Rs 27,000 crore has been laid and inaugurated. This project will benefit both Ease of Living and Ease of Doing Business.
Bangalore in Karnataka (BengaluruPrime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several rail projects on Monday. He was accompanied by Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai (Basavaraj Bommai) were also present. PM Modi in his address here (PM Narendra Modi) said that today the foundation stone laying and inauguration of the project worth more than Rs 27,000 crore has been done. This project will benefit both Ease of Living and Ease of Doing Business.
He said, ‘The double engine government has given you the assurance of fast development of Karnataka. Today all of us are once again witnessing that trust. Today 27 thousand crore rupees are being inaugurated and the foundation stone is being laid. In Karnataka, the foundation stone of 5 national highway projects, 7 railway projects has been laid. Whereas we have witnessed an important milestone of 100% electrification of Konkan Railway. PM Modi said, ‘All these projects will give new facilities and opportunities to the youth, middle class, farmers, workers, entrepreneurs of Karnataka.’
‘Projects kept faltering in files for 16 years’
The Prime Minister said, ‘You will be surprised to know that for 16 years these projects kept faltering in the files. I am happy that the double engine government is working hard to fulfill every dream of the people of Karnataka and Bangalore. He said, ‘The government is working on rail, road, metro, underpass, flyover, double engine on every possible means to get Bangalore free from jam. Our government is committed to connect the suburban areas of Bengaluru with better connectivity.
Airport-like facility now in Indian Railways- PM
The PM said, ‘Indian Railways is now trying to provide those facilities and environment, which were once found only in airports and air travel. The modern railway station in Bangalore named after Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya is also a direct proof of this. He said, ‘Bengaluru is the dream city of the youth of the country and behind it is entrepreneurship, innovation. Bangalore also teaches people to change their mindset, who still address India’s private sector and private enterprise with lewd words.
Indian Railways is now clean and modern- PM
PM Modi said, ‘How many billion dollar companies have been made in the country in the last decades, you can count on your fingers. But in the last 8 years, more than 100 billion dollar companies have been created, in which new companies are being added every month. He said, ‘Indian Railways is getting faster now. Getting clean too. It’s getting modern too. It is also getting safe and becoming citizen friendly too. We have also taken the rail to those parts of the country where it was difficult to even think about it. The Prime Minister said, ‘Bengaluru is a reflection of the spirit of Ek Bharat- Shreshtha Bharat. The development of Bangalore is the development of millions of dreams. Therefore, in the last 8 years, there has been a continuous effort of the Central Government to develop Bengaluru more.
