74.10 percent area of this district is forest
Wayanad is one of the high altitude districts in northern Kerala. According to government data, 74.10 percent area of this district is forest. This district has the highest population of tribals in the state. This area is undoubtedly good from an environmental point of view, but when it comes to internet connectivity, there are many challenges to be faced here. Especially for those studying online.
As we proceeded through the forest area from Thirunelli towards Panavalli, we saw students sitting on both sides of the road on the high bridge. These students were seen sitting here to attend online classes. Panavalli is a small residential township surrounded by high hills. Hardly any mobile network works here. To attend online classes, these students have to struggle to find a place where they can get the right connectivity.
