On this occasion, Handloom and Textiles Minister of Assam, Urkhao Gavra Brahma (Urkhao Gwra Brahma) said that this is the first time in the history of Bodo Sahitya Sabha that the President of India will attend the session of Bodo Sahitya Sabha.
He said that the welcome committee is now fully prepared to welcome more than 1 lakh people. He told that this year the session is focused on ‘Stop wasting food’. The minister said, “The representatives of Bodo Sahitya Sabha will be around 4,000-5,000. We are trying to make all arrangements to make this year’s Bodo Sahitya Sabha session a success. This year we have taken a vow, in which we are trying to spread the message of ‘Stop wasting food’.
Bodo Sahitya Sabha was established in 1952
The Bodo Sahitya Sabha was established in 1952 and is working for the development of literature, culture and language. It is playing a leading role in maintaining coordination between different ethnic groups. Bodo Sahitya Sabha is preparing more than 40,000 scientific and technical words in Bodo language.
President Kovind to visit Mizoram on May 5
President Ram Nath Kovind will visit Mizoram on May 5, during which he will attend the convocation ceremony of a university. An official gave this information on Monday. He said that Kovind will come to this northeastern state to attend the convocation ceremony of Mizoram University in Aizawl. The detailed schedule of the President’s visit is still awaited.
