Prayagraj’s ADG Prem Prakash said that on Friday evening, the joint team of Police and Excise Department (Excise Department or Police Team) raided the illegal liquor factory being run under the guise of Gaushala in Parsipur Jhajamau. According to the official, hundreds of cases of liquor kept hidden in straw and straw were recovered in the cowshed. This wine was made illegally.
Illicit liquor worth crores seized
The police officer said that during the excavation at Gaushala, huge quantities of liquor and equipment used to make it were also recovered. The price of the seized liquor is being told in crores. Officer Prem Prakash said that in the presence of police force at Gaushala and other possible locations, excavation work is being done on a large scale from JCB.
The police officer said that the liquor mafia was running an illegal liquor factory under the guise of Guddu Singh Gaushala. Guddu Singh is currently absconding. Police is searching for him. Many people have been detained in this case so far. At the same time, Superintendent of Police Akash Tomar said that seven accused have been arrested from the liquor factory, while 20 more people have been identified.
Search is on to identify 45 people
He said that 45 people involved in the illegal liquor business have been identified. All of them are being searched. The police officer said that the property of all the accused will be attached. Akash Tomar said that as part of the campaign to recover the liquor made illegally in the district, the police raided an illegal factory and a shop in Kunda Kotwali area on Saturday-Sunday night and recovered liquor worth about Rs 50 lakh.
