Case was registered on the complaint of the trader
A case was registered against Parambir Singh, Sanjay Punmiya, builder Sunil Jain, two ACP rank officers, a DCP and two police inspectors after Shyam Sundar Agarwal lodged a complaint. Punmiya and Jain were also arrested by the Marine Drive Police of Mumbai in this case. SIT was formed to investigate this matter properly. Later the matter was handed over to the CID.
