RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav
The case of voter list investigation in Bihar has completely taken a political form. The opposition parties of the state are wrongly blaming the investigation of the voter list just before the election. He says that thousands of people can be deprived of voting according to the kind of documents being sought for voter list check. Now RJD leader and former Chief Minister of the state Tejashwi Yadav met the Bihar Election Commission on this issue.
After registering an objection in the State Election Commission along with the leaders of the Grand Alliance, Tejashwi said that he has met the Commission to consider the Aadhaar card, MNREGA job card as a valid document. He said that Election Commission officials in Bihar are postmen, the real officers are sitting in Delhi and they operate from some other place.
What will EC do for Biharis living outside? Tejashwi asked
Tejashwi said that we suspect that the names of the voters will be removed from the first voter list, then the ration list and then pension list will be removed. We have raised many questions before the Election Commission. It is raining now, there is waterlogging in many places, monsoon. We have also raised questions about timing that this is not possible in 25 days. What will you do for 4-5 crore Biharis living outside?
He said that we have demanded from the Election Commission that the documents should be made more simple. Aadhaar card, job card, MNREGA card should be included. The documents that have been asked are not with Biharis. This time he has removed the Aadhaar card from the document. We have demanded that it be included. Bihar elections do not have the right to decide. The people of Delhi have the right to take decisions and we all know who is taking their decisions.
Wife's name worried about being cut off from voter list
Tejashwi Yadav is recently worried about cutting his wife's name from the voter list, who became a voter of Bihar. His wife has recently become a voter of Bihar. Now the Election Commission will also ask for paper from them, but they do not have any documents related to the place of birth. The former CM also said that his wife has now become a voter of Bihar, but he has no papers related to the place of birth.
Prashant Kishore also objected
On the other hand, Prashant Kishore, the founder of Jan Suraj, has also denied the Election Commission's move. He said that we are against it. We have expressed concern about this and we have also called an executive meeting to discuss this issue. In Bihar, it is not possible for a very large section that comes from Diwali, Chhath, coming before Diwali, Chhath and presenting the documents according to the demand of the Election Commission. If the situation remains the same, then 30-40 lakh people of Bihar who will come to Diwali, Chhath, none of them will be able to vote.
