Hearing on the matter of lapse in the security of PM Narendra Modi in Punjab is going to be held in the Supreme Court today. The hearing is scheduled to begin at 11 am. Senior advocate Maninder Singh has demanded a court-monitored investigation. A three-judge bench of Chief Justice NV Ramana, Justices Surya Kant and Hema Kohli will hear the matter. In this case, the Supreme Court has restrained the Center and the Punjab government from investigating the lapse in the security of the PM.
Along with this, the Punjab-Haryana High Court has been directed to immediately obtain the records related to the security arrangements related to the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Punjab three days before the Punjab government, police and central agencies. The court has asked the Registrar General of the High Court to present this record in a sealed cover in the court on Monday. In this matter, the Central Government and the Punjab Government are going to present their side in front of the Supreme Court today. Many possibilities are being created in today’s hearing. Let’s have a look at this-

3- The Center will inform the court about the need for the help of other agencies in this matter.
4- A demand can be made on behalf of the petitioner to constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT) under the leadership of the Supreme Court or the High Court. Officers of specialized agencies can be involved in this.
5- The Punjab government can also demand the involvement of state officials in the investigation.
6- The Supreme Court can decide the points of aspects related to the investigation.
7- The answer on the powers of the state government and the center in PM security can be summoned by the court.
8- The incidents of such lapse in the security of the former PM can also be discussed or questioned in the court. How effective the steps taken after that have been, it can be seen.
