Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a review meeting with top officials on the situation of Corona in the country. During the meeting, the PM has been informed about the efforts being made to speed up the availability and supply of oxygen in the country. This information was given by the empowered group working on increasing the supply of oxygen.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, during the discussion in the meeting, the PM was told that the production of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) in the country was 5700 MT per day in August 2020, which has now increased to 8922 MT. Domestic production of LMO is expected to be 9250 MT daily by the end of April 2021.
PM Modi emphasizes on Kovid management
According to the PMO, the Empowered Group working on Medical Infrastructure and Covid Management informed the PM about the efforts being made to increase the availability of beds. The PM stressed that there is a need to properly implement specific guidelines and strategies regarding Kovid management.
It has been told that the group working on communication has informed the PM regarding the reforms being done to bring awareness among the people. The PM has also been told about the International and Domestic Shorties as well as the Oxygen Express launched by the Indian Air Force for the transportation of oxygen tanks.
Many countries put forward their hands to help India
During the second corona epidemic, the crisis for oxygen and beds in hospitals has deepened. Many countries including the US, Britain, Thailand, Saudi Arabia and Ireland have come forward to help India to help fight the war against this deadly virus. Oxygen containers and consignments are reaching India from these countries.

This information was given by the Union Ministry of Health. With the death of 2,771 people due to corona infection, the death toll has risen to 1,97,894. The number of patients under treatment is also increasing rapidly and this number has increased to 28,82,204 which is 16.34 percent of the total infected. At the same time, the recovery rate from Kovid-19 at the national level has come down to 82.54 percent. The number of people recovering from the infection has increased to 1,45,56,209, while the death rate has fallen to 1.12 percent.
