Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with Chief Ministers of various states on 8 April through video conferencing. In this meeting, we will discuss the growing cases of corona and the issues related to vaccination. Earlier, PM Modi held a high-level meeting on Sunday. It was informed during this meeting that 91 percent of the total cases of Kovid-19 and cases of deaths due to it have been reported in only 10 states across the country. The situation in Maharashtra, Punjab and Chhattisgarh is very worrisome.
Corona virus cases are increasing in the country. On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reviewed the situation. Due to the deaths due to Corona, many central teams have been instructed to visit these states to take stock of the situation in Maharashtra, Punjab and Chhattisgarh. Health experts are also included in the teams of the center being sent to these states.
Emphasis on the use and cleaning of masks
In this meeting, led by PM Modi, it was decided that the situation will be reviewed with full emphasis on the use and cleanliness of the mask, as well as precautions on prevention of Kovid epidemic. A special campaign will be conducted from April 6 to April 14. Restrictions are being imposed again in many states to prevent corona from growing.
In this high level meeting led by M Modi, the first three reasons behind the rise of Corona cases were emphasized. The first reason is the reduction in the necessary precautions against the corona epidemic. The second is the fatigue caused by Kovid-19 and the third a serious decline in adherence to measures to prevent the epidemic.
More than one lakh corona cases a day in India
More than one lakh corona cases were reported in India on the previous day, which is the highest number of cases of infection in a day since the epidemic started last year. According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 1,03,844 people had tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours due to a massive spike in the epidemic in Maharashtra.
4,033 new corona cases were reported in the national capital on Sunday, the highest single-day spike since December 4 last year. Apart from Delhi and Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh (4,164 cases), Madhya Pradesh (3,178 cases) and Gujarat (2,875) also recorded their highest-daily increases in COVID-19 infections.
