PM Narendra Modi unveiled the ‘Mega Gati Shakti Master Plan’ scheme today i.e. on 13 October. This plan will improve the traffic system including airport, new roads and rail schemes along with improving multi-modal connectivity and promoting industrial activities. In fact, the PM-Gatishakti project has been started to address the issue of lack of coordination among various agencies by institutionalizing the overall plan.
Describing this plan as an important initiative for the country’s infrastructure scenario, the PMO had said on Tuesday, “The Moga Gatishakti project will eliminate departmental interruptions and help the stakeholders in major infrastructure projects.” Will institutionalize the overall plan for

It is known that under this 107 lakh crore big project, projects like strengthening railway and road infrastructure in the country, from health services to airport connectivity for air travel, waterways, smart connectivity in cities, e-highway are included. 16 ministries like petroleum, railways, aviation, energy, road transport, shipping, IT, textiles have been included in its project.
The plan contains the details of all the projects constructed till 2020-21 and is fed with all the central projects of 16 departments which are envisioned by the year 2025. Modi had announced the Gati Shakti Yojana in his Independence Day speech this year. Recently, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari had told that the government is soon going to launch the Prime Minister’s National Master Plan ‘Gati Shakti’. This scheme of more than Rs 100 lakh crore for holistic and integrated infrastructure development will generate huge employment opportunities.
