PM Modi in UP: PM Modi said in Siddharthnagar – previous governments have defamed Purvanchal, we will make medical hub

PM Modi laid the foundation stone of 9 medical colleges.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, after dedicating nine medical colleges from Siddharthnagar, accused the previous governments of Uttar Pradesh of leaving Purvanchal to grapple with diseases, saying “corruption” in the name of health services. The ‘cycle’ used to run for 24 hours. In his address after inaugurating nine medical colleges, including Madhav Prasad Tripathi Medical College here, Modi said that the Purvanchal, which was abandoned by the earlier governments to fight diseases, will now become the medical hub of eastern India. The Purvanchal, whose image was tarnished by the previous governments, the Purvanchal which was maligned due to the deaths due to encephalitis, the same Purvanchal is going to give a new light of health to eastern India.

Taking a dig at the main opposition party Samajwadi Party (SP), without naming anyone, Modi said, “On the other hand, the cycle of corruption which looted crores of rupees of the poor used to run for 24 hours separately. Corruption in medicine, corruption in ambulance, corruption in appointment, corruption in transfer posting. In this entire game, some family litigants in UP did well. The cycle of corruption went on for a long time, but the common family of Purvanchal and UP got crushed. It is rightly said that go and don’t tear your feet, what does that know pir parai. He alleged that basic medical and health facilities were never given priority in our country before and even after independence. If you want good treatment then you have to go to big city. The poor, downtrodden, exploited, underprivileged, farmers, village people of the country hugged small children, elders and mothers when they looked towards the government for basic health facilities, they felt disappointed. He accepted this disappointment as his destiny.

Governments used to forget by announcing hospitals

Modi said that the government which was in Delhi seven years ago and in Uttar Pradesh four years ago, people used to sit after announcing small hospitals in Purvanchal. People used to keep hoping, but for years and years, the building was not even built. If she had been made, the machines would not have been there. If both of these were there, there would have been no doctor and staff. Those who were earlier, their priority was to earn for themselves and fill the coffers of their families, our priority is to save money of the poor.

The Prime Minister said, “When the BJP government was formed in the country in 2014, a Mahayagya was started to improve the health facilities of the country. Many schemes were started under this, but I will always regret that the earlier government here did not support us. She brought politics in development works. She did not allow the plans of the Center to progress in Uttar Pradesh. Why never before in the history of Uttar Pradesh nine medical colleges were inaugurated simultaneously. Why is this happening now…. The only reason for this is political will and political preference.”

Yogi government is the fruit of people’s penance

The Prime Minister said, “Today has brought a double dose of health for Purvanchal, for the whole of Uttar Pradesh. Nine medical colleges of Uttar Pradesh are being inaugurated in Siddharthnagar. The government which is in the center today. The government in Uttar Pradesh is the result of decades of penance of many Karma Yogis. It is Siddharthanagar who has given such a dedicated public representative in the form of Late Madhav Prasad Tripathi ji, whose tireless hard work is helping the nation today.” He said, “Madhav Babu spent his whole life in politics to establish Karma Yoga. As the first president of the Uttar Pradesh BJP, as a minister at the Centre, he was particularly concerned about the development of Purvanchal. Therefore, naming the new medical college of Siddharthnagar after Madhav Babu is a true tribute to him, towards his service. It will also give continuous inspiration to the young doctors who come out of here to do public service.

Modi said that Uttar Pradesh and Purvanchal have a vast heritage related to faith, spirituality and social life. This legacy is also being linked with a healthy, capable and prosperous Uttar Pradesh. It is also visible in the nine districts where the medical college has been inaugurated today. Madhav Prasad Tripathi Medical College in Siddharthnagar, Maharishi Deoraha Baba Medical College in Deoria, Maharishi Vishwamitra Medical College in Ghazipur, Maa Vindhyavasini Medical College in Mirzapur, Dr. Sonelal Patel Medical College in Pratapgarh, Veerangana Avanti Bai Medical College in Etah and Umanath Singh in Jaunpur A total of nine medical colleges have been opened including medical colleges. He said that about two and a half thousand new beds have been prepared due to the construction of these nine medical colleges, new employment opportunities have been created for more than 5000 doctors and paramedical staff. Along with this, a new path of medical education has also been opened for hundreds of youth every year.

Modi inaugurated the medical college built in Siddharthnagar. Along with this, the medical colleges of Etah, Hardoi, Pratapgarh, Fatehpur, Deoria, Ghazipur, Mirzapur and Jaunpur were also inaugurated through virtual medium. He also visited the photo exhibition, ‘Life scene of Buddha and excavated site Kapilvastu – a glimpse’.
